Count My Blessings
Today has really stretched me thin on thankfulness, so I figured that it must be an indication I should really sit down and figure out what is good in my life, so that I cannot focus on the negative.
1. I am thankful for my health and the health of my family and friends.
2. I am thankful that we have a place to live and utilities.
3. I am thankful for the fact that we have food. This past winter there were times that we did not.
4. I am thankful that we have health insurance.
5. I am thankful for Caleb's job.
6. I am thankful for my jobs and opportunities.
7. I am thankful that I could tell my mom "I love you" before she left.
8. I am thankful for my children.
9. I am thankful for my friends.
10. I am thankful that I have this time to make things better than they are right now.
And most of all...
I am thankful for Jesus Christ my savior who died on the cross so that my sins could be washed away...and allow me the chance to be better than I am. So that when I do complain about how life isn't easy or as I would want it to be, I can be humbled knowing that it could be so much worse. So much more dark. And I could be completely lost rather than just confused.
